Joanna DeWolf Joannadewolf

Joanna DeWolf has an insatiable appetite for learning. She’s had her nose in a book since she first started to read. That reading has served her well through the years. She has a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from Spring Arbor University, an M.A. in Educational Ministries from Wheaton College, and is an ordained elder. That desire to learn also serves her well as wife to Matt and mom to Lincoln and Madeleine. She’s served as editor for the Catalyst Groupzine and for Fermi Words www.fermiproject.com exploring topics of culture, future, gospel and church. Nothing gives her greater joy than walking alongside those who are actively following Jesus.

Maureen (Knudsen) Langdoc Maureen0001

Maureen Knudsen Langdoc serves as the Pastor of Discipleship at Light and Life Free Methodist Church in Escondido, California. Prior to arriving to sunny Cal in the summer of 2007, Maureen and her husband Bryan spent three years at Duke Divinity School, studying in the Master of Divinity program and watching lots of college basketball. Maureen is particularly interested in theological ethics, considering how the church faithfully receives the gifts God has given. She is most herself when she's writing, reading, discussing theology, drinking coffee, eating Indian food, dancing with her husband, traveling to new places...and as of February 25th of this year, spending time with her daughter Clare.

Matt McEwen Matthew_2

Matthew is pastor of the Holt Free Methodist Church in Mount Albert (north of Toronto). One of his many passions is studying Scripture and helping people to apply it to their everyday lives. He also is an avid student of the theology of John and Charles Wesley, having completed a Th. M. degree with a thesis on the communion hymns of the Wesley brothers.
He and his wife Joy, who met while studying at Tyndale University College and Seminary in Toronto, started their ministry together at the Bracebridge Free Methodist Church prior to their move to Holt. They enjoy collecting books, spending time with their young daughter, Naomi, and being out in nature.
Creation care is an important issue to both of them. As a member of the denomination’s Study Commission on Doctrine, Matthew played a major part in shaping the church’s new statement on our responsibility for the environment (cf. http://www.fmc-canada.org/who/papers/The_Environment.pdf).
