I continue to receive reports of the the "Overflow Effect." Here's one I received yesterday from a pastor.
QUOTE...
One of the best decisions of my ministry was to take a group of leaders from our church to Overflow Conference. All who came have reported their lives are changed forever.
Tonight, at our Monthly Leadership Team meeting, XX??XX Free Methodist Church of XX??XX unanimously voted to plant a new church in our community that will be geared to those with physical and emotional handicaps and their caregivers.
Our school district reports that 64% of their students have some type of disability.
This church plant will be under the direction of CMC XX??XX, who is under appointment at our church. She and her family bring a lifetime of experience in ministering to those with physical and emotional handicaps. Her family, as well as several members of our Leadership Team have deep ties into this segment of our community.
The church is due to launch around September 26, 2010
I wanted to keep you in the loop and share the excitement we as a church are feeling.
Pastor XX??XX
