I'm going back to Haiti today. I'll send a report when I return. Of course I'll be reviewing the progress of the recovery phase of the earthquake response. But you may not be aware that the Haitian Free Methodist church is also living an exciting stage in their development; in January they will become a Provisional General Conference. Yoohoo!
At 15,000 members they long ago met the membership threshhold but had held off because of unrealistic financial expectations (they won't be able to have an itinerant bishop-he'll need to also pastor a church).
So these will be good days of envisioning the future together.
Thanks for supporting our dialogue in prayer.
