Can you tell me what the dates are for the Annual Conference in Baja California/Mexico with Supt. Ramon? I haven't been able to find out when it is and he is not for sure either. thanks!

Greetings, Bishop,
Thanks for the correction to the misuse of St. Francis' comment.
That quote has been used -- misused -- too often. I've struggled with it but have hesitated to challenge prominent pastors who present it as a solid principle to adhere to.
Blessings on you.

When I resigned from my secular job to accept my first pastoral placement I received a going-away card from a co-worker. In it she confessed that watching me work and talk about my wife and set my family as a priority forced her to reconsider her belief in God. I was surprised because I had never spoken the gospel to her.

I still believe in the wisdom of lifestyle evangelism. Both word and deed are required but my guess is that we (notice I include myself) Christians are failing to draw attention to Jesus by our lifestyle because our lifestyles are strikingly similar to those of our non-Christian neighbors.

B.
